About WOFDC 2025
Legacy
Where Frisbee Returns to its Roots
In 1985, the World Flying Disc Federation took its first steps in Helsingborg, a stone’s throw or more correctly a frisbee throw from Ängelholm. Now, in 2025, the World Overall Flying Disc Championships returns to the region, finding its home in Ängelholm. This journey is not just a celebration of tradition; it’s the convergence of past, present, and future.
A Homecoming
Ängelholm stands as a symbolic homecoming for the Frisbee community. Just a short distance from where the World Flying Disc Federation was founded, our championship is a nod to the rich tradition of Frisbee in Sweden with the FFFF, Flying Flamingos Frizbee Flingers (founded 1978).
Legacy for the Future
Beyond the competition, we are building a legacy for the next generation. The championship serves as a platform to inspire young athletes, instilling in them a passion for Frisbee and fostering a love for sportsmanship and fair play.
Our vision for the 2025 World Overall Flying Disc Championships is to create an event that is truly world-class. We want to provide athletes with the best possible platform to compete, and we want to offer spectators a unique and exciting frisbee experience.
We also want to use the event to promote frisbee to a wider audience and to inspire the next generation of frisbee athletes.
